Our Doctors will attend to your health needs. Services we offer include family medicine, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, arthritis, chest & bowel disorders, aged care, antenatal & obstetric care, family planning services, women’s health, pap smears, men’s health, travel medicine, work injuries, sports injuries, fractures with plastering, spirometry, child & adult immunisation, pre-employment medical examinations, chronic disease management and ECG’s.
Our Billing Principles
As of the 1st of July 2019 we will be changing our practice to a Mixed Billing Fee Structure: What this means for you is: Patients with a current and valid Centrelink Pension Card, Health Care Concession Card, Seniors Commonwealth Card, DVA Card, Student Card and those under the age of 16 are bulk billed for standard consultations. Please contact our friendly reception staff for fees and charges for all other health services.
Results
The importance of all results being reviewed by a Doctor cannot be overstated. At Kincaid Medical Centre, results are checked by our Doctors who determine the urgency of your results. Our reception staff will contact you via telephone to arrange an appropriate appointment to discuss your results with your treating Doctor. If we are unable to speak with you directly, we will continue to try to contact you. When we have tried multiple times without success, a letter will be sent via registered post to advise you of the need to contact us to make an appointment to discuss results with your Doctor. Results are not provided over the phone by our reception staff, however they are able to advise you if the results have been returned. Nurses may be able to provide some information over the phone.
Telephone Calls to Doctor
It is the policy of Kincaid Medical & Dental that patients are able to obtain information or advise related to their clinical care by telephone in a situation where a consultation is unnecessary or impractical. A patient may be able to speak with the Doctor on contacting the surgery if the Doctor is not consulting. If Doctor is unable to take your phone call, a message will be left with Doctor to contact you.
Home Visits
Home visits are available to palliative care / nursing home patients where a genuine medical or social need exists. Any patient requiring home visits should contact the afterhours clinic, where home visits are provided at the Doctors discretion
